Dolls
We give dolls to daughters that they might practice mothering and nurturing. But dolls often become surrogates for female angst and little girl social clique wars. Dolls can empower fantasies of future romance, or become twisted into voodoo charms by a desire for vengeance. As society becomes more reflective on childhood in our personal life growth, so too have artists developed the meanings of dolls along myriad lines of psychic inquiry.
European dolls were at first made to represent adults. It wasn't until the 1850’s that childlike dolls appeared.

Getting a doll in nutshell! Rony example
Okay, I decided to make this small easy step by step introduction how these ball jointed dolls start to exist here with me :D
This is mostly for people who aren't in the doll hobby because usually I get comments like ”how I make these dolls?” or how this process works. I don't make (sculpt) these dolls, please read this and you'll understand!
I will tell you a "making of story" of my Rony/Ronya named doll as an example. Please note: this is only one version of styling a doll which I chose to show you, not all people follow these steps.

Photographer of the Week: Dollstars
This week, the featured photographer is dollstars (https://www.deviantart.com/dollstars)! A 23 year old photographer from the Philippines, dollstars (https://www.deviantart.com/dollstars) has a gallery full of emotion captured in Dolls. Realistic, emotive and sometimes misleading - the poses and settings she places her dolls in are incredibly realistic.
Each week we pick a Still Life Photographer from here on deviantART that we believe deserves to be show-cased for their astounding contributions to the still life photography galleries. Please visit the artist and show your appreciation and don't forget to :+fav: the article!
